Even inversion can be beautiful

For those who are blessed without knowledge of inversion, in a valley the warm air presses over the cold air, keeping all air in the valley very cold and very still. Smog builds up until its not safe for kids to play outside for recess and the rest of us walk around feeling like we're breathing ashes. This is a beautiful place, but January is rarely a beautiful time here. But if you're looking, you'll notice that when the sun does manage to peak through, it makes the whole air glow. (Due to particles in the air, I know.) But I still think it's beautiful.

  1. It really is pretty. I love the mountains!

  2. That second one is what I think of (other than family) when I miss Utah. I can never get enough of those majestic snow-covered mountains kissed with color as the sun dips behind the horizon. Even with the inversion polluting your lungs you still have to admit it can be pretty when the light hits it right. :)
